Introducing The Giving Stories

I had an epiphany. We've had far too many exceptional conversations with social entrepreneurs, advocates, and industry leaders that should be shared with more listeners. As a private foundation, we are presented with opportunities to help outstanding teams who are working relentlessly to help communities worldwide. The passionate conversations we share in the process provide a wealth of information that inspires and empowers us to act. More people need to hear their stories and be inspired into positive action.

The Giving Stories will cover the most critical issues, trends, and opportunities facing nonprofit leaders and those engaged in social impact. We will feature founders and CEOs, and other industry leaders who share priceless insight. You will hear real stories from experienced veterans about what strategies have made them successful and how we all can do our part to help communities around the world. Our first episode comes from one of the earliest non-profit teams we helped years back and has since seen much success.

Called the "closest thing Silicon Valley has to a conscience," by The Atlantic magazine, Tristan Harris spent three years as a Google Design Ethicist developing a framework for how technology should "ethically" steer the thoughts and actions of billions of people from screens. Our first guest on the podcast is the co-founder & president of the Center for Humane Technology, whose mission is to reverse 'human downgrading' and realign technology with humanity. Harris stars in the recent Netflix Documentary, The Social Dilemma, which has catapulted the fight for our attention and issues with technology into the global spotlight. As parents, we need to know more about this problem and help save the next generation from its pitfalls. Harris shares his wisdom and insight so that more families are equipped to tackle this issue at home.

Drop us a line if you're interested in participating in these great podcasts! We want to hear your stories and share them to help more communities.
