In an unprecedented surge of philanthropic spirit, the J.W. Couch Foundation is thrilled to announce it awarded over $3 million in grants during Q3 2025. This year saw nearly 3,000 nonprofits submit proposals, reflecting a powerful commitment to education and wellness initiatives nationwide.

As we wrap up the third quarter of 2025, we are excited to report a record-breaking achievement in our grantgiving efforts, continuing our mission to empower organizations that lead with purpose and passion.
This year, we received close to 3,000 grant applications from nonprofits across the United States, each striving to foster meaningful, lasting change. The outpouring of innovative ideas and heartfelt initiatives has not only inspired our commitment but has also reinforced our dedication to making a significant impact.

- Houston Arboretum: Inspiring environmental stewardship and outdoor education for students of all ages.
Wellness: Building Stronger Communities
Our commitment to wellness shines through with our diverse array of partners working tirelessly to enhance physical, mental, and community well-being. Our notable partners include:
- New Story (New Partner): Revolutionizing safe housing for families through sustainable design.
- Adventure For All: Empowering individuals with disabilities through transformative outdoor adventures.
- Scenic Walton: Enhancing community wellness through beautification and environmental preservation.
- Baylor College of Medicine: Leading medical research and wellness initiatives that change lives.
- On River Time: Mentoring youth abuse survivors through impactful experiences on the water.
- San Antonio Arboretum (New Partner): Increasing access to green spaces and wellness education.
- Texas Children’s Hospital: Committing to world-class pediatric care and wellness innovation.
- The Women’s Center: Supporting survivors of trauma through counseling and empowerment programs.
In total, this round of funding supports 16 organizations, including five new partners who are now part of our growing network of changemakers. We are incredibly proud to have awarded more than $3 million in grants this quarter alone—a significant milestone for the J.W.
